Your tool is really great. Thanks for the work man! As a Mentat user I can say that you added features, that were always missing... ;)
One of them is the Cost Price Import via transactions and I have a request/question: When activated in the settings, you seem to use multiple weighted buy-transactions from the same date to calculate the Cost price. Let's say, simple put, I buy an Item at 100.000 and 150.000 on the same date, you make it 125.000, which is very good so far.
Can you make it possible to set up the timeframe for that calulation?
I need the weighted average price over a longer time, not only one day, so it would be great if you make the default one day, and the user can configure a longer timeframe. :)
Example: I'm seeding nullsec stations, so orders can take long to get done. Today I buy item A to sell it in station SA. I pay 150.000. In three days I buy items A again, to sell it in station SB, while my order in station SA is still running. I pay 100.000
So the cost price is overwritten with 100.000, which leads to a problem when I want to know what was my cost price for the older running sell oder in station SA. When I use the 100.000 as base, I would undercut my cost price eventually.
I know that the average price over a week/month or so is only a workaround and the only way to have an absolutely accurate price would be an accounting tool. But the weighted average price over a longer timeframe would at least make it possible to have a mixed calculation... :) |

Automatic cost calculation takes into account all transactions fitting within the order time frame. I think it could cause much confusion if the user could manipulate it (the results might be weird if the frequency of order completion varies).
In your case, you could try turning it off and manually selecting transactions for calculation. You can do it in any transaction list and add to costs via right click menu.
That's how I work around/did it in Mentat ;) Ok, confusing the user is a point.
For clarification, what is meant by "fitting within the order time frame"? How does the Costfinding filter? |

So I'm using your tool for some weeks now and it's really working out good.
For two days I have a problem: Evernus crashes when synching the contracts, always at the same contract. Is it a known problem, or do you want logfiles or informations about the contract that crashes?
Another bug I have is on the "Starttab": The amounts of ISK in orders is wrong. I guess that's a known problem, because I have it on all my toons. :)
Two little tweak suggestions:
- When marking orders in the order section, it would be great if you could calculate the amounts in the bottom regarding those marked orders. This is for quick checking ISK in orders/profit etc. for a specific station for example, when you trade at different stations. - When clicking your price in the orders tab, to copy the suggested price to the clipboard, it would be great if the little box that opens would disappear when the Evernus program looses focus. This is for saving clicks, if you need to switch from Evernus to the Eve client back and forth.
Keep up the great work :) |

As for the EULA topic of Fast Copy of prices, I also thought about it. It's a huge advantage in the daily .01 market pvp (CCP should work on that anyway).
Maybe it would be useful to petition this as a dev and get an answer from CCP you can refer to.
Keep up the great work, very gooc piece of software! :) |

Kaiser Freiherr wrote:Nice replacement to Eve Mentat. A few things I would like to bring up regarding custom item costs:
- When adding new custom item costs, trailing spaces in item names are parsed and prevent the actual inputted item to be added. - Is it possible to import a CSV list or something to the custom item costs? It is a waste of time to have to click add, copy paste item name, copy paste ISK value for each item, each time I would like to update the manufacturing costs of an item. - Perhaps add item costs individually to each order as well?
All in all a very useful tool.
+1 I just logged in to suggest exactly these features: - Import for Cost Prices - When righclicking Wallet Transactions -> something like "Add to Cost Price of CharXYZ"
These features around cost prices are very needful for traders operating with several alts, for example in different stations etc.
Beside that: Still amazing how good your tool is developing, including outstanding support and feature releases! Good Job! |

Adding costs via right click is already there. You can also combine costs for all characters.
Maybe I was not clear enough: Same itemtype, two different stations and toons where I sell'em. Because I bought the stacks for different prices, I need to store two different cost prices.
As I buy the items on a third toon that's sitting in Jita, I currently only can - Add the costs to the "global" costs, which would be wrong - Add the costs to the Jita toons costs, also wrong, I need it on the "seller" toons
So I need to add the costs to the personal costs of a different toon, then the one I bought the items with. |

Pete Butcher wrote:Version 1.28 is here with major speed bump to CREST import. Changes:
- [new] configurable CREST import speed*
- [new] ability to add item costs for other characters via context menu in transaction lists
- [fixed] multiple character import causing large CPU usage
- [changed] not copying 0ISK when no price data is available
- [changed] Scylla database
* please read this on how to tweak CREST speed and possible problems.
Honestly, you're the best! ;) Thanks for the update, will test it right away when I'm home :) |
